ARRI MB 20 Matte Box
$5.00 / dayQuick ViewThe ARRI MB-20 System I Compact 3-Stage Mattebox – 5.65 x 5.65, 19mm Studio is a versatile, modular mattebox designed primarily for the high definition video market, but can easily be used with 16mm or 35mm format film cameras. Interchangeable modules allow for either rod mounted swing-away operation or for clamping directly onto the lens.
The heart of the mattebox is the Basic Module, which can be fitted with the removable Sunshade and Top, Bottom, and Side Flags. Interchangeable Hard Mattes can be snapped into the front of the sun shade.
The back of the Basic Module accepts a 2- or 3-Filter Stage, with each being individually rotatable.

The Clamp-on Adapter
In this mode the mattebox clamps directly to the front of the lens. The Clamp-on Adapter natively fits lenses with a front diameter of 130mm. A range of Adapter Rings (sold separately) reduce the basic 130mm diameter to as little as 80mm, ccommodating a wide variety of lenses.
The Swing Away Module
The Swing Away Module offers all the features of a production mattebox, where the mattebox is mounted on support rods and the entire front section swings forward to facilitate lens changes. The Swing Away Module is fitted with the Console for Lightweight Support, which mounts directly on 15mm Lightweight Support Rods. With this kit, an adapter for 19mm studio support rods is also included.
In Swing Away mode, the rear of the filter stage is fitted with the Back 138mm Bellows Adapter. This accepts a selection of 138mm and 4.5” Filter Rings, which enable the addition of a round, rotatable filter. The filter rings combine with Connection or Adapter Rings to work with lenses of different front diameters. -

ARRI MB 19 Matte Box
$5.00 / dayQuick ViewThe MB-19 is a compact, lightweight production matte box. When mounted on lightweight support LWS-3, graduated filters can be pushed through unhindered. Side flags with adjustable segments, used in conjunction with the top light shield, provide optimum protection against unwanted light. Also available are sets of clip-on mattes for use with both 16 mm and 35 mm formats. Through the use of additional adapters the matte box can be mounted on the 15 mm or 19 mm studio support rods of conventional bridge plates, making it suitable for 35 mm as well as 16 mm cameras.
The MB-19 is supplied with a filter stage for two 4″ x 5.65″ filters. The front filter can be pushed through vertically; the rear filter can be displaced horizontally and additionally rotated. The filter stage is fitted with a rear receptacle for 138 mm diameter filter rings as well as for an additional filter stage for one 4″ x 5.65″ filter and one 138 mm round filter.
To simplify lens changing, the matte box swings out. For quick adaptation to different lens lengths, the matte box can be moved back and forth with a lockable adjustment knob. A holder for secure mounting of French flags is included. -
ARRI MB14 matte box
$6.00 / dayQuick ViewThe MB-14 production matte box is equipped with a 4x filter stage for four 6.6″ x 6.6″ push-through filters (rotatable in pairs). Two of the filter frames are toothed for operation by knob or flexible shaft. The 4x filter stage has a rear receptacle for 6″, 138 mm or 40″ filter rings, for anti-reflection rings and additional 4″ x 4″ filter stage. The 4x filter stage can be interchanged with other filter stages. For easy lens changing the matte box swings open 90° to the front. The lateral adjustment on the side of the matte box is equipped with a quick-set clamp. A holder for secure mounting of french flags is included.
